Cultural Arts Council 23rd Annual Chili Cook Off
The Cultural Arts Council of Douglasville/Douglas County is delighted to announce the 23rd annual Chili Cook Off competition in downtown Douglasville on Saturday, October 19th from 6-9 p.m. This fun-filled fundraising event will be held in conjunction with the Rogue Runners Moonlight Run. All proceeds will benefit the CAC and its programs throughout the year.
Join us for the Children’s Halloween Costume Contest portion of the evening. We can’t let the kids have all the fun, join the adult costume contest.

Enjoy Life Cleaning has partnered with Vineyard Streetball Classic to raise money to battle cancer one cleaning at a time. Enjoy life and Vineyard Streetball have put together a classic basketball game called Knockout to be the way for all citizens to participate. We want to break the Guinness Book of World Record of 701 people at one time! Participating in this game is a once in a lifetime opportunity and you will be a part of it. Your support will help bring the community together to play knockout and raise $10,000 to support our community Cancer Warriors.
By donating you allow us to continue giving Families the wonderful gift of a clean home while undergoing cancer treatments. Our goal is to raise $10,000 this year to help clean one cancer patients home per week. Your gift will let these brave and strong women focus on their health. Enjoy Life Cleaning Services can then focus on, and take away the worry of cleaning their home.
CAC Annual Gala & Auction: Mardi Gras
The Cultural Arts Council of Douglasville/Douglas County is hosting its annual fundraising gala, themed “Mardi Gras” on November 23rd from 6 – 10 pm. This year the event will take place at The Douglasville Conference Center. Come enjoy a tasteful dinner, a stylish cash bar, classy music for dancing, charming Silent & Live Auction.

KDO (Kids Day Off) Camp is a minicamp session for campers during the days that schools aren’t in operation. KDO camps are modified versions of Camp FUNtastic, where campers engage in various social, educational, environmental, and recreational activities. Campers must bring their own lunch and snacks.

Each year, participants not only enjoy Taste of Douglasville, but they also help the Cultural Arts Council support school programs reaching local students, providing affordable spring and summer arts camps in county and city parks, free “Family ARTSVentures!” curricula-based school performances followed by the same artists performing spring and fall concerts for the whole family, critically acclaimed gallery exhibits at the historic Roberts-Mozley House, and many more special events like the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party.

Spend a fun-filled Saturday with Kitty Up Cat Rescue at L&R Alpaca Haven Farm!
There will be bingo🎲, 🎟raffle items to win, and pizza🍕
All proceeds benefit our various programs: We focus on rescuing and helping stray cats with our spay/neuter program, alongside our educating efforts, adoption/fostering program, TNR program, pledging program, and transporting. We are working to help decrease the overpopulation of cats and increase the number of cats we re-home and help to have a better quality of life.

Douglasville Police Department and Douglasville Parks and Recreation are teaming together to host a Youth Basketball Summer league at the Alice J. Hawthorne gymnasium every Tuesday starting June 7 – July 19.
Games will begin at 5 PM. Teams will be coed for ages 12-14 and 15-17. This league is free of charge.
